I think a good idea for an ironic story would be, this guy is crawling through the desert and he's pretty thirsty. Well, he gets to this oasis with a big lake and he's so thirsty that he jumps right in and ends up drowning! Then another guy crawls up and sees the first guy floating in the water and pukes, because... gross, a dead body.
